Held annually in June, this competition is open to all age groups to capture the essence of Hayfield in a painting created in the parish on the day.

From 2011 there will be more junior categories divided in 2-year stages and a special new adult category of Hayfield Young Artist of the Year is being created for entrants between 17 and 25 years of age.

Register at St Matthew's Church Hall from 08:30 on the day. Return your completed work for display by 15:45. The public are admitted at 16:00 to vote for their favourite works and prizes are awarded in the Church at approximately 17:30.

It is a wonderful day out enjoyed by all.
